Brandy Cochrane
Founder
Brandy Cochrane is the visionary behind Sustainable Initiatives. Ms. Cochrane founded SI following three years working as Program Director at Friends of the Woods, a grassroots community organization in the Bronx where she was able to take it from a startup organization with no budget to a $500,000+ organization within two years. While working in the nonprofit sector, Ms. Cochrane, applied principles from the for-profit sector that contributed to the success of multiple organizations. Prior to taking her post as Program Director, Ms. Cochrane held various management positions throughout New York working in health, arts, education, real estate, marketing and development. Her wide range of experience in the for-profit sector and the ability to transfer it to nonprofits, has been instrumental in designing and implementing various programs aimed at increasing success and maintaining it. Ms. Cochrane is currently participating in the We are the Bronx Fellowship sponsored by JP Morgan Chase.
